Since I've been able to see the real deal I wanted to post a couple of pictures of my Pantac copy FSBE leg panel.
I'm pretty gutted because when I bought this copy this was the only replica that I could find.
Flyye Industries have since released a more accurate copy.
I have got one of these as well, which I bought to compare with the other legpanels I had. Definitely not a bad piece of kit, although the top right strip of PALS was sewn onto the panel itself. I had to cut it loose in order to be able to put pouches on it.

That's the problem with replica gear as it can be very hit or miss.
ReplyDeleteThe overall construction of the panel is really good and once I've got it loaded up you won't be able to tell that it's not correct, but I know that it will annoy me and that I will end up replacing it at some time.
I've checked out the Flyye one and it looks spot on. Not bad at all.

Simpen's gear looks absolutely spot on, I only found out that he had made the leg panels and admin pouches quite a while after he made them, I don't think he has any left.
